Lodging Manager Apprenticeship Program
A premier retention tool, the AHLA Foundation’s Lodging Manager Apprenticeship Program combines on the job learning with related educational instruction for in demand occupations. For employers, it provides an opportunity to develop highly skilled workers and significantly strengthen labor retention by using a proven method to develop both current and prospective associates. With an impressive 90% retention rate, the program offers associates an opportunity to advance their careers, receive hands on learning, and earn both college credit and industry certification at no charge via scholarship funding from the AHLA Foundation. It can be marketed as a fast-track to a promotion and raise for any employees you would like to reward for hard work over this difficult and challenging period.

Hotel Cook Apprenticeship Program
Using the proven apprenticeship model, the AHLA Foundation’s new Hotel Cook Apprenticeship Program is focused on training new or recently hired entry-level culinary workers. Apprentices will participate in a structured on the job training rotation to learn 100 competencies identified by industry HR leaders as critical to success.
