SEAVIEW’S ALTER DONATES $10,000 TO AH&LEF ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN

Washington, D.C., July 14, 2016 — Bob Alter, president of Seaview Investors, contributed $10,000 on behalf of the Alter family to the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation’s (AH&LEF) 2016 Annual Giving Campaign. Alter is a long-time donor to the Annual Giving Campaign, marking his ninth consecutive personal gift at the six-diamond level or higher. This is his third contribution at the leadership level.

“Having been in the hotel industry from 40 years, I know how critical employees are to our collective success. That’s why it’s so important to me that we do all we can as leaders in this great industry to support our future talent and ensure they have the training and resources they need to climb the ladder of opportunity that the hotel industry provides,” said Alter.

“The Foundation is fortunate to have strong support from Bob and his family,” said Joori Jeon, AH&LEF president and COO. “This sizable donation ensures our ability at the Foundation to develop a strong workforce and cutting-edge industry research for the future of the industry.”

AH&LEF is the not-for-profit affiliate of AH&LA and is funded solely by charitable donations from progressive hospitality leaders and companies within the industry. In 2016, AH&LEF anticipates disbursing more than $1.5 million to prepare promising college students for a career in hospitality, to attract and retain talented industry professionals, and to fund valuable research for the industry. Since the Foundation’s inception, $20 million has been distributed through its scholarship, education, outreach, and research programs.

Support the Foundation by helping fund the future of the lodging industry. For more information about donating, contact Michelle Poinelli, Senior Vice President of Foundation Programs, at (202) 289-3181 or mpoinelli@ahlef.org, or visit www.ahlef.org
