Galilhea Calderon
Galilhea Calderon is the Coordinator of Academic Programs for the American Hotel and Lodging Foundation. She is responsible for cultivating relationships with our university partners to maximize the Foundation’s annual scholarship program and to connect with students and professionals in the hospitality industry to share development and scholarship opportunities.
Galilhea earned her bachelor’s from Florida International University majoring in Economics with a minor in International Relations. Galilhea has worked within education and student support throughout her career, working closely with University students and University partners. She was most recently a Program and Operations Coordinator at a non-profit organization, Raising A Village Foundation, where she was responsible for orchestrating the coordination of various programs and collaborating with program managers to design and implement initiatives addressing youth development, education, and community outreach. Galilhea also held the title of AmeriCorps VISTA Site Lead for Raising A Village Foundation where she led the Driven 2 Succeed; a youth development program that focuses on academic success, assignment completion, and social-emotional learning.
